Nominations will be accepted for scientists, urban development experts, economists, energy specialists, poverty adversaries, and others specializing in a broad range of disciplines related to the environment and sustainability. The research of nominees should be based on scientific grounds but must clearly show impacts outside of the specific discipline.

Award of $30,000 to a Canada classical musician in recognition of exceptional musical talent and important contributions to Canadian and international music. Applications and nominations from official language minority communities, culturally diverse, Deaf, and disability groups are encouraged.

Grants to USA, Canada, and International computer science students at IHEs for attendance at a conference related to computer technology. Funding is intended to assist full-time graduate and undergraduate students studying computer science, with a study area that overlaps with the topics presented at the conference. Grant funds are intended for travel and hotel expenses and are distributed after the conference once your attendance is confirmed.

Grants to USA, Canada, and International computer science professionals and academics to cover costs to attend a technology conference. Funding is intended to assist early-career professionals with expenses related to attending the conference, including travel and registration fees.

Grants to USA, Canada, and International nonprofit organizations, independent researchers, for-profit entities, and academic labs to conduct research in artificial intelligence. Funding is intended for studies assessing possible risks in the use of AI in cybersecurity. Projects must focus on frontier AI models and their deployed versions. This funding aims to promote responsible development of frontier AI models while establishing robust evaluation frameworks for security-related capabilities and safety measures.

Grants to USA, Canada, and International nonprofit organizations, independent researchers, for-profit entities, and academic labs to evaluate safety issues in artificial intelligence. Grants of $60,000 to USA and Canada minority postdoctoral fellows involved in biomedical and medical research for professional development and career enhancement activities. The purpose of the program is to support the postdoctoral experience and training of disadvantaged minority junior scientists.

Fellowships to USA, Canada, and International early-career medical researchers for research projects related to hematologic malignancies. Funding is intended for basic, clinical, and translational research projects that have direct applications to blood cancer. Funds may be used for equipment, supplies, publication charges, and salary.

Fellowships to USA, Canada, and International documentary directors and producers for professional development. In addition to funding, the fellowship includes retreats and mentorship. The purpose of the program is to strengthen ties within the film industry and support filmmakers who highlight stories of moral and ethical urgency.

Opportunity for USA, Canada, and International singers and actors between the ages of 19 and 32 to participate in a musical theater and opera vocal contest. Contestants are encouraged to choose contrasting songs that display stylistic range and repertoire. Contestants must perform a program that contains four selections, one from each category outlined below:

Funding may be used to provide support in the following areas: coaching, club support, competitions, event support, and adaptive equipment.

Applicants are advised that required registrations may take several weeks to complete. Funding is intended for the development and validation of next-generation tools, methods, and analytic approaches to precisely quantify behaviors and combine them with simultaneous recordings of brain activity in humans.

Grants of up to $15,000 to Canada researchers affiliated with eligible post-secondary institutions for collaborative research with researchers from other countries. The purpose of the program is to establish partnerships that would exchange information and establish bonds between Canada post-secondary institutions and those from the European Union and other associated countries who could then jointly apply to the Horizon Europe- Pillar II calls for proposals.

Opportunity for USA, Canada, and International companies to participate in a competition developing biodefense solutions. Innovative ideas aimed at countering disinformation on social media are also eligible. All finalists will present their solutions at a pitch event that will take place in Japan.

Grants of up to $50,000 to USA and Canada nonprofit organizations and IHEs for activities that address, and work to mitigate, the adverse effects of climate change on health. Funding is intended to support early-stage projects that connect scholars from diverse fields.

Grants to Canada music firms, including music publishers, record labels, and artist managers to promote local musicians and their work. First-time applicants must contact the funding source and register in the grant portal prior to applying. Eligible expenses include those related to the production and marketing of sound recordings, domestic and international tours and showcases, music publishing, artist management, and business development activities.

Grants to Canada entrepreneurs and businesses for initiatives to support local musicians. New applicants are required to register in the online system prior to the application deadline. Funding is intended to support a wide range of activities, including but not limited to touring, music production, and business development. Eligible companies include artist managers, record labels, and music publishers.

Sponsorships of up to $30,000 to Canada individuals, companies, and organizations to support new music projects. First-time applicants are required to submit an LOI at least six weeks prior to submitting their applications and then register in the grant portal. Funding is intended to build an audience for Canadian Artists in the commercial music industry. Extra consideration may be given to projects and events that largely benefit underserved communities, audiences, and genres. These may include (for example) Northern, remote, and rural communities; Indigenous peoples and Indigenous artists; Black artists and Artists of Colour; artists identifying as LGBTQ2S.

Grants to Canada Black-led, Black-focused, and Black-serving nonprofit organizations and charities for initiatives focused on justice and equity within Black communities. Funding is intended for capacity-building activities for organizations that promote advocacy and legal empowerment. Areas of interest include mental health and well-being supports, addressing racial discrimination, and programs that reduce the risk of incarceration.

Fellowships to USA, Canada, and International researchers to undertake doctoral studies in Spain or Portugal. Researchers are expected to focus on STEM disciplines: technology. engineering, physics, mathematics, health, and life sciences. Funding will cover research costs, labor costs, and tuition, and there will be a series of training programs in multidisciplinary skills.

Grants to USA, Canada, and International robotics teams associated with schools or nonprofit organizations in multiple states and provinces to participate in youth STEM contests. Funding may be used for team registration, field setup kits, and robot parts or kits. Grants are intended to benefit underserved and rural youth. Priority is given to teams meeting the underserved, underrepresented, and rural criteria. Teams must get approval for the grant before paying for registration.

Grants to USA and Canada nonprofit organizations for projects and programs related to oral health, animal health, or youth agricultural leadership training. New applicants must submit a letter of inquiry prior to submitting a full application. Priority will be given to projects that directly relate to the funding source's program interests. Funding is intended to support communities in the Patterson Companies service areas throughout the United States and Canada.

In-kind donations to USA, Canada, and International nonprofit and for-profit organizations to address cyber-security issues. Grantees will receive software and resources. Eligible projects are related to software development and should improve the organizations operations. The Gadfly Project is making available in-kind grants for organizations seeking to better secure their digital footprint.

In-kind donations to USA, Canada, and International nonprofit organizations for application development projects. Grantees will receive software and resources. Funding is intended for software development projects that improve the organizations operations. Applications are welcome from organizations that are ready to take a step forward but need a technology partner to help translate their vision into a working application.

Grants of up to $60,000 to USA, Canada, and International faculty at educational institutions for research projects in the radiologic sciences. Funding is intended for scientific projects in the pilot or preliminary stages. Applicants must be members of the funding source's organization.

Grants to USA and Canada early-career faculty at educational institutions for preliminary research projects in radiology. Applicants must be members of the funding source's organization. Eligible uses of funds include salary support and/or other research-related costs. Eligible applicants are full-time faculty or equivalent permanent positions based on institutional standards in a department of radiology, radiation oncology, or nuclear medicine.

Grants of up to $50,000 and grants of up to $75,000 to USA and Canada early-career researchers affiliated with educational institutions for research projects related to the radiological sciences. Applicants must be members of the funding source's organization. Funding is intended to provide young investigators an opportunity to gain further insight into scientific investigation and to gain competence in research techniques and methods in anticipation of establishing a career in academic radiologic science.

Grants to Canada nonprofit, for-profit, and Indigenous organizations, unions, trade boards, and industry associations to create a retirement savings program for personal support workers. The purpose of the program is to provide PSWs with financial security when they retire. Through this process, ESDC will fund “initial recipients” that will redistribute the contributions funding to the “ultimate recipients”, the PSWs, as retirement savings incentives.

Grants of $50,000 to USA, Canada, and International academic and nonprofit research institutions for initial research studies related to Myotonic Dystrophy. Applicants are advised that required registrations must be completed prior to applying. The purpose of the program is to fund original projects covering basic, translational, and/or clinical research in myotonic dystrophy.

Opportunity for USA, Canada, and International teams of graduate students to develop finance and investment strategies that address social and environmental issues. This opportunity is meant to connect emerging leaders in the finance industry with professionals, while also placing an emphasis on sustainability.

Grants of up to $60,000 to USA, Canada, and International faculty members at IHEs to support academic research in computer science and related fields. The purpose of the program is to support early-career researchers for one year of work on a research project in fields that include, but are not limited to, machine perception, human-computer interaction, quantum computing, and networking systems. Cooperative agreements to USA, Canada, and International nonprofits, for-profits, IHEs, government agencies, and schools for research projects related to neuromuscular disorders. Funding is intended for studies to develop diverse biotherapeutic treatments for nervous system disorders.

Grants to USA, Canada, and International startups and small and medium-sized enterprises for projects to benefit the environment. Funding is intended to support initiatives in the focus areas including climate change, sustainable agriculture, green buildings, and sustainable materials.

Grants to USA, Canada, and International nonprofit organizations, IHEs, government agencies, for-profits, school districts, and Tribal organizations for research to develop technologies to treat neurological disorders. Applicants are advised that the required registrations must be completed prior to applying.

Grants to Alberta nonprofit organizations to enhance the quality of life for residents in eligible regions. Funding is intended for general operating support. Eligible organizations may have a focus that falls into one of the following categories: social services or sports and recreation. Organizations must serve residents of Edmonton.

Fellowship to a USA, Canada, or International MD and PhD for research related to Marfan Syndrome or any of the genetic aorta or vascular conditions. The purpose of the program is to pair an emerging researcher with a mentor who can guide them toward pursuing an independent research career. Awards are for studies in the United States or internationally at an accredited medical school or institution affiliated with a university teaching program.

Grants to Alberta registered charities in eligible regions for community benefit programs. Funding is intended for programs that serve vulnerable populations, programs that promote youth participation in hockey, and those that address emergent community needs. Applicants must be located in Edmonton and the region.

Grants to Alberta nonprofit organizations, Indigenous settlements, and collaboratives for capacity development and organizational improvements and functions. Funding is intended for applicants providing ongoing services and programs that address social issues. Two levels of funding are available: core funding and organizational development funding.

Grants to USA, Canada, and International junior faculty researchers for research projects related to retinal health. Funding may be used for the following expenses: staff salaries, research supplies, and partial support of the candidate's salary. The purpose of the program is to advance research that aims to cure retinal degenerative disease.

Grants to USA, Canada, and International organizations for research projects regarding a specific combination of medications used to treat breast cancer. Funding is intended to identify ways to improve the management of treatment for patients on specific treatment paths.

Grants to USA, Canada, and International clinicians and researchers affiliated with nonprofit entities, IHEs, laboratories, and biotech companies for research projects related to Parkinson's disease. Funding is intended to advance the development of high-performance, quantitative alpha-synuclein seed amplification assays (aSyn-SAAs), addressing the critical need for less invasive, highly sensitive and quantitative biomarkers in Parkinson’s disease (PD) clinical trials.

Fellowships to USA, Canada, and International postdoctoral researchers to conduct biomedical research projects. Funding is intended to support fundamental scientific research into the causes, cures, and treatments for cancer and other human diseases. In addition to a fellowship stipend, selected fellows will receive funding for research expenses, travel costs, relocation expenses, and supplements for dependents. Award of up to $5,000 to a USA, Canada, or International undergraduate activist in recognition of exceptional activities that promote the preservation of freshwater and marine resources. Eligible nominees have championed their cause and garnered peer support throughout the school year. In addition to the monetary prize, the winner will also receive mentorship from MCN and be partners for the academic year.

Grants of up to $75,000 to USA, Canada, and International researchers at for-profit and nonprofit institutions for research projects on psoriasis. Proposed projects should advance the understanding or treatment of psoriasis, psoriatic arthritis, or related comorbidities. Funding is intended for proof-of-concept experiments and preliminary research. The goal is to stimulate the development of new research programs in the field of psoriatic disease capable of competing for long-term funding from the National Institutes of Health or similar agencies in the future.

Grants to Alberta nonprofit organizations in eligible regions for operational expenses. Funding is intended to improve the ability of local nonprofits to operate and deliver services to the community. Focus areas include beautification, community enhancement, recreation, and other community-benefit projects. Eligible applicants are located in and serve Wheatland County.

Grants of up to $500 and in-kind support to USA, Canada, and International women entrepreneurs to enhance business or organizational development. Funding is intended to support the improvement, expansion, and strengthening of organizations and businesses that impact families, girls, and women throughout the world. Requests will be accepted from women working in any field.

Grants to USA, Canada, and International investigators affiliated with host institutions for research related to psoriasis. Funding is intended to help scientific discoveries transition more quickly into treatments that clearly benefit patients living with psoriasis and/or psoriatic arthritis.

Grants of up to $50,000 to USA, Canada, and International graduate students and postdoctoral investigators for research projects addressing psoriasis. Funding is intended to enable applicants to eventually compete for larger grants and to position themselves to establish successful long-term careers conducting psoriatic disease research. The goal of this award is to support scientists at this challenging early career stage and to welcome them into the collaborative community of scientists, clinicians, and patients involved with NPF research.

Grants of up $3,000 to USA, Canada, and International organizations and individuals for the protection and preservation of wildlife and habitats. Funding is intended for a range of projects, including education, research, and habitat management. Special consideration will be given to projects in line with the Zoo's mission, conservation goals, and species represented at the Zoo and to local research and conservation projects.

Funding is intended for activities that promote education, address basic needs, provide health programs, and support systems change. Eligible programs address community needs in Central Alberta.

Funding is intended for programs, activities, events, and festivals that promote a sense of community and foster community involvement. Eligible projects benefit the residents of the City of Medicine Hat.

Grants of up to $50,000 to USA, Canada, and International institutions to create a fellowship for research careers and medical training. Funding is intended to support researchers in the fields of academic dermatology and rheumatology. Priority consideration will be given to applications that advance psoriatic disease research. Funds must be applied toward stipend, salary, and fringe benefits.

Grants to USA, Canada, and International individuals and organizations for projects that raise awareness about issues related to animal rights. Eligible projects may be artistic or academic in nature. Priority will be given to new applicants. Grants are awarded in three categories: creativity, performance, or research.

Grants to Canada municipalities for initiatives that reduce the risk of natural disasters caused by climate change. Funding is intended for solutions that enhance resiliency to the risk of wildfires and floods. Funds are available for activities on both the community and homeowner level.

Grants to Canada qualified donees for recreational activities benefitting children and youth. Funding is intended for programming and operational support. These grants are intended to support help organizations that provide programming for youth with disabilities between the ages of 4-25 or kids between the ages of 4-18 in financial need.

Grants of $500 to Canada individuals and First Nations for projects and events to increase resiliency to wildfires. Eligible projects must promote efforts to reduce the dangers of wildfires or encourage wildfire preparedness in the applicant's community. Topics of interest include the removal of fuel from within the community and events about FireSmart best practices, or activities that combine the two.

Fellowships of $1,000 per week and grants of $500 per week to USA, Canada, and International doctoral candidates for historical research projects. Funds may be used to defray the cost of travel and commuting to a designated Virginia museum, where the studies will be conducted. The purpose of the program is to support research studies in a range of sociological and historical focus areas, in order to promote the interpretation of Virginia history and access to its collections.

Grants of up to $30,000 to USA, Canada, and International researchers for research projects related to Gorlin syndrome. The purpose of the program is to advance knowledge about potential treatments and cures for the disease and to enhance the quality of life for those affected by it.

Grants and in-kind support to USA, Canada, and Mexico cities for outdoor visual arts projects. Funding is intended to cover costs associated with public art on pedestrian spaces, roadways, and public infrastructure. In addition to a cash grant, applicants will also receive on-call technical assistance from the tactical urbanism firm Street Plans and impact evaluation support from Sam Schwartz Consulting.

Awards to USA, Canada, and International individuals to recognize exceptional contributions to the field of air quality and climate change. Selected award winners are honored for transformative achievements in advancing environmental policy goals and environmental justice, or furthering research, education, science, and technology. Awards honor those with international accomplishments as well as those who have acted locally.

Award to a USA, Canada, or International individual, group of individuals, or organization in recognition of substantial advances in seeking climate change solutions. The purpose of the award is to encourage and reward the pursuit of sustainable long-term results that could strengthen communities facing the effects of climate change, helping them to adapt and build resilience at a local level. It supports scalable solutions that will have real impact nationally and globally.

Grants of up to $10,000 to USA and Canada nonprofit organizations for programs and projects to alleviate hunger. Funding is intended to support activities that focus on nutrition education, food rescue, and direct food assistance. Programs may include but are not limited to community efforts such as meal assistance programs for children, families, and seniors, food banks, and food pantries.

Grants of up to $10,000 to USA, Canada, and Mexico nonprofit organizations, colleges and universities, government agencies, and laboratories to cover expenses related to conferences, scientific meetings, and workshops that address aging. Funding is intended to support activities that reflect the Foundation's mission to drive efforts to extend healthy human lifespan and understand the processes of aging.

Grants of up to $7,500 to Alberta nonprofit organizations to develop or maintain community events. Funding is intended to organize and deliver events that improve the local quality of life, contribute to the culture of the community, create affordable entertainment, and provide economic benefit to the City of Lethbridge.

Grants of up to $20,000 to Canada researchers affiliated with research institutions for collaborative studies related to diabetes. Funding is intended to promote an exchange of ideas among investigators in their search for new methods to prevent, treat, manage, and cure the disease. The purpose of the program is to fund a single event or limited series, not an ongoing activity.

Grants of up to $25,000 to USA and Canada individuals who have suffered severe injuries for adaptive equipment and expenses related to their recovery. Funding is intended for individuals who have been injured while participating in sports activities, veterans injured while serving, and individuals who have experienced a life-changing injury so that they can continue to pursue sports activities.

Grants to USA, Canada, and International nonprofit organizations to further the instruction of integrative medicine. The purpose of funding is to help medical schools and residency programs expand educational programming that teaches integrative medicine. Funding is intended to train medical students, physicians, and healthcare professionals.

Awards to USA and Canada individuals in recognition of outstanding contributions to the Jewish community. Eligible nominees have demonstrated their dedication to the Jewish community by working for a nonprofit organization that serves the Jewish Community. Nominees will be assessed based on criteria that include their commitment to the Jewish community, integrity, professional achievement, and innovation.

Grants of up to $7,000 to USA, Canada, and International visual artists for international exchanges with other artists. Funding is intended for travel and living expenses for mid-career artists who wish to travel abroad for creative development, access and exposure to other cultures, and more. Artists from Kansas City and the Central Plains/Midwest region of the USA receive first priority for funding.

Grants to USA, Canada, and International nonprofit and for-profit organizations, government agencies, and academic institutions for research to produce lower-cost monoclonal antibodies. The purpose of the program is to make mAbs accessible to a larger market, particularly to those in low- and middle-income settings. Two streams of funding are available.

Opportunity for USA, Canada, and International startups to participate in an accelerator program related to women's health. The purpose of the accelerator is to generate nutrition-based solutions that address women's physical and mental health. Areas of interest include food and beverage, agriculture, packaging, health and nutrition, and digital technologies.

Grants of $10,000 to USA, Canada, and International journalists for audio and print stories addressing illegal substance use. Funding is intended to underwrite individual stories and support journalists in this field. Reports may address the science, business, policy, and culture of this new era of psychedelics.

Grants to USA, Canada, and International nonprofit organizations, independent researchers, for-profit entities, and academic labs to evaluate AI security. Funding is aimed at enhancing the governance and oversight of AI decision-making processes and operations to effectively manage the risks associated with AI deployment. Likewise, as AI agents gain greater autonomy and responsibility, comprehensive safety evaluation will be crucial to avoid negative outcomes and build public trust.

Grants of up to $2,000 to USA and Canada women artists to support ongoing projects. This year, funding may be used for works of nonfiction and poetry. The artist must have significant work already completed on the project. The funder seeks applications from feminist writers and visual artists who are women (cis, transgender, or nonbinary) and exhibit high quality in their work.

Grants to USA, Canada, and International doctoral and master's students to conduct research related to animal cruelty. Funded research must incorporate data collected from the FBI's data collection system on animal cruelty. Funding is intended to encourage analysis of the data to inform policymakers, law enforcement, researchers, and advocates so that more effective interventions can be designed to better protect both animals and the communities in which they live.

Grants of up to $5,000 to USA, Canada, and International organizations and individuals for initiatives that address issues related to youth involved with armed groups. Funding is intended for a wide range of projects, including education and skill building, reconciliation efforts, and initiatives to encourage disengagement.
